"This dresser only had one owner prior to us - from 1965 to 2011. I'm hoping we have just as long of a history together."
I think Maria has done this piece plenty of justice - it's warm and personalized, yet modern and sophisticated. WINNING.
Thanks for sharing, Maria!

WHAT THE WHAT - two reader submissions in one week?? First Christine, now Amber Eve! This is amazing.
Amber Eve sent over the below pics of her favorite finds - a few of which she found on this very site! The sofa bench, matching chair and sofa, kitchen table, coffee table and side tables were all scored from CL...well played! From Amber Eve:
I totally remember that couch and chair - and I was so hoping that someone would have the vision to appreciate it! Sometimes that's all a good CL find needs - a little vision!
My favorite thing about this series is seeing how others incorporate such unique pieces into their homes. Christine and Amber Eve have set the bar pretty high - but keep sending me pics of your best CL finds!

Oh snap. I posted about a fragment of this bed awhile back...and here it is in its (almost) complete state (albeit a twin)! Needs a little love, but this is an amazing deal for a pretty iconic piece.
P.S. If you didn't sign up for the Feastly event at my house, then you missed this, this, this, and this (all food prepared by the amazing Chef Jessica)...and I hope you deeply regret it.
So I asked you to send me some examples of your favorite Craigslist scores...and I got the first one!
Christine in Columbia Heights sent me a great shot of her amazing lamp and fruit crates, both from CL. She's artfully up-cycled the crates as modular storage - take that IKEA!
So.....keep sending me pics of your awesome finds!

P.S. Don't forget to sign up for dinner at my place this Saturday!
Looks like a nice set - and the four set seems pretty adaptable.

If you haven't heard of Feastly yet, then you've definitely, in my opinion, been missing out. Feastly is an incredible social experience that works to "create an online marketplace connecting passionate cooks with hungry eaters to offer homemade meals prepared and served in a cook’s home." Basically, anyone can share their amazing cooking talents with anyone looking to meet new people over an amazing meal.
This weekend, that 'anyone' is going to be myself and my dear friends Jessica and Dawn, of JLO Kitchens and Something Vintage Rentals.
As for my part - I'm simply opening my home as a Co-Host to partake in an amazing meal! Sign up ASAP by emailing email@example.com with Dixie! in the subject line. There are only 15 seats available, so get to gettin'!
Obviously, we're honoring our Southern roots with this amazing Menu to be prepared by Chef Jessica...$38.50 gets you all of this yumminess:
- Fire-Roasted Tomato Aspic Bruschetta with Herbed Aioli
- Shrimp Deviled Eggs topped with Corn Chow Chow
- Pigs in a Blanket - Maple Glazed Chicken Sausages wrapped in Homemade Sweet Potato Biscuit Dough
- Served with Vidalia Onion Gravy, Sweet Potato and White Cheddar Gratin, Garlic and Shallot Creamed Collard
- - Creme de Menthe Chiffon Pie with Dark Chocolate Cookie Crust
- Great spiked with BYOB Bourbon
I originally posted this chair back in January, and it's back...still priced the same...
I really don't love the glass top, but the base is pretty unique.
These look immaculate...I love the richness of that new blue vinyl.
