EatFeastly - Dinner At My Place This Saturday!

If you haven't heard of Feastly yet, then you've definitely, in my opinion, been missing out. Feastly is an incredible social experience that works to "create an online marketplace connecting passionate cooks with hungry eaters to offer homemade meals prepared and served in a cook’s home." Basically, anyone can share their amazing cooking talents with anyone looking to meet new people over an amazing meal.

This weekend, that 'anyone' is going to be myself and my dear friends Jessica and Dawn, of JLO Kitchens and Something Vintage Rentals.

Jessica recently launched JLO Kitchens which offers in-home cooking classes, entertaining culinary demonstrations and guidance for home chefs looking to cook authentic Southern cuisine. She's a Feastly veteran and my first Feastly experience was with Jessica in her home, where she served up homemade buttermilk biscuits, an incredible low country boil, and the best Maryland crab cakes I've ever had. Dawn's Something Vintage Rentals focuses on renting mis-matched vintage china, furniture, and flatware (and much, much more) for any occasion - she'll be making my house look super-classy with her collection of vintage china and flatware. Our meal is being sponsored by Relay Foods, the leading online marketplace that makes eating quality, healthy and sustainable food simple!

As for my part - I'm simply opening my home as a Co-Host to partake in an amazing meal! Sign up ASAP by emailing info@eatfeastly.com with Dixie! in the subject line. There are only 15 seats available, so get to gettin'!

Obviously, we're honoring our Southern roots with this amazing Menu to be prepared by Chef Jessica...$38.50 gets you all of this yumminess:
  • Fire-Roasted Tomato Aspic Bruschetta with Herbed Aioli
  • Shrimp Deviled Eggs topped with Corn Chow Chow
  • Pigs in a Blanket - Maple Glazed Chicken Sausages wrapped in Homemade Sweet Potato Biscuit Dough
  • Bacon-wrapped Bison Meatloaf - Served with Vidalia Onion Gravy, Sweet Potato and White Cheddar Gratin, Garlic and Shallot Creamed Collard
  • Dark Chocolate and Mint Grasshopper Pie- Creme de Menthe Chiffon Pie with Dark Chocolate Cookie Crust
  • Frozen Peach and Thyme Punch Bowl - Great spiked with BYOB Bourbon

$25 - Art Deco Milk Glass Pendant

This definitely needs some love but it has potential. Check out Rejuvenation's Period Basics collection (P.S. their 20% of sale ends today!) for ideas on how great this could really look.

$125 - MCM Chair Base (it's back!)

I originally posted this chair back in January, and it's back...still priced the same...

$350 - Industrial Side Table

I really don't love the glass top, but the base is pretty unique.

$1100 - Fully Restored Thonet Chair (4)

These look immaculate...I love the richness of that new blue vinyl.
