I'm baaaack...

I'm baaacckkk

My first trip to Europe was awesome to say the least. We planed, trained, and automobiled for two weeks from Switzerland, to Tuscany and Florence, to Cinque Terre, and then on to Rome and Vatican City. Two weeks seemed like the minimum amount of time needed, and of course I could have stayed longer. I could go on and on about the wine, the cacio e pepe, the scenery, the coffee (oh my God, the coffee) but... oh wait, I just did.

P.S. our house sold in 8 days. The DC market is insane.

P.P.S check out my gorgeous new table. We picked up the vintage base from Good Wood and then hand picked the new marble slab (a subtle Vermont Danby White) for the top from our trusty counter top company. The chairs were borrowed from a friend, and now I need my own. I'm having a hard time finding the right ones - any suggestions?

...I'm just selling my house. Getting our place ready for selling has literally taken up every ounce of brain power that I've had...so I apologize.

753 Fairmont Street is on the market as of this Monday! It's been a labor of love for my boyfriend and I: he did all of the architectural design and 95% of the physical work (I swear I helped...and learned a lot!). We've worked hard on the interiors too - they came together over time after lots of hunting, gathering, and arguments over finishes. And yes, LOTS of our furniture is from CL :)

Check out the listing and images, and we are having an open house this Sunday (thanks to my amazing agent, Andrew Riguzzi at DCRE Residential...he's a STUD). Feel free to email for any info on paint colors or specific furniture and art sources. Several of the paintings are courtesy of Mr. Dino Paxinos. You can check him out over at Modern50...he's on a level that we all aspire to.

P.S. As a reward for all of our hard ass work, G and I are jetting to Italy for 2 weeks, so don't count on any posts (I swear that I'm starting back up when I get back...). BUT follow me on Instagram (@ellenevangeline) for some useless but lovely and filtered updates.

$220 - MCM Hall/Sofa Table

I think they've restored it - looks like it's in perfect shape. Love.

$95 - Formica Dining Table + Leaf

Surely something can be done here. The legs are super cool.

$225 - Marble Top Side Table

LOVE this, but I consider it priced for retail...I'm not saying it's not worth it - I'm just SAYIN'. After all, the seller does day that it will "bring shades of Paris to your everyday life." Well then.

Measures 36" diam. x 20.5" h.

$125 - Old Ass Check Maker

Lord help me - I'm such a massive slacker.

I'm back. With a check making machine....but, but, it's "half-a-century old"!!!
