$225 - Globe Wernicke Tanker Desk

Lookit, lookit! Globe Wernicke is classic. They patented the ever-popular barrister bookcase. They also specialized in desks and these metal ones appeared during WWII when 90% of the company's production was turned to military equipment. This looks to be in great condition. Get it!

"Made in the USA. Mid-century (1940's - 1960's). Globe - Wernicke S-670 industrial tank desk made of heavy gauge steel. Measures 60" long x 32" wide x 30.5" tall. Double pedestal design with one file drawer on right, two pull out writing surfaces and center locking drawer (no key). All drawers operate smoothly. Original brushed aluminum pulls. Newer black vinyl applied to original top. Original Globe - Wernicke label intact. Overall great condition."

Here's a similar one on Etsy for $375...

$125 - Tray Style Coffee Table

This isn't my particular style, but maybe it's yours? It's super classy and looks to be in great shape. Love the tray-style top and leg detail. You could paint this a different color with a minimal amount of work...?

$25 Each - MCM Lamps

I think I like the white one best...

$50 - Regency Style Bar Cart

Swanky bar cart for someone's swanky apartment at a swanky price.

TWO GLASS SHELVES: LOWER SHELF IS 7" OFF THE FLOOR, UPPER SHELF IS 26"
MEASURES: 30" WIDE x 15" DEEP x 32" HIGH

$110 - Pair Teak and Brass Lamps

Although these were posted to CL a while ago, I thought the price was too high to feature here... they've dropped the price a bit now, so maybe that helps. Love them. Measurements are 26H x 5W.

"The base is teak wood and the top is brass.
The lamps are in working oder and have some
wear to the brass portion. The wood base has
lines in the wood but it does not distract
from the uniqueness of the lamp...."

$125 - MCM Brass Sconce

Love the look, but not sure about the price...?

pre-WWII Schwinn bicycle-$900

Would be great for the next tweed ride! But be prepared to put some work into this collector's item if you want to keep up with the pack.

$2750 - Vintage Vibrating Exercise Machine

This is your lucky day - for a mere $2750, you can own this original vibrating belt machine!! These hilariously useless pieces of crap became popular after WWII and remained in use until at least the 70s. I think all that shaking would only serve to point out, in detail, all of my "wobbly bits..."

$100 - Stainless Steel Cart

Bar cart anyone?

$35 - Vintage Chalkboard Table

I really love those legs and chalkboard paint is always fun.

In college, a friend had an entire wall of her apartment painted with chalkboard paint - we'd spend the entire day after a party reading the hilarious messages people left all night;)

Dimensions: 28" wide, 20" deep and 20" tall.

$30 - Side Table w/ 1972 Mars Map

Holy cow.

23.25 in. tall x 20 in. wide x 15 in. deep.

$250 - Sleek Dresser

The seller says that he or she refinished this dresser themselves. From the pics, it looks great.

$20 - Danish Modern Ice Bucket

I've been wanting something like this to make outdoor gatherings easier...no more running back and forth to the refrigerator. The removeable plastic liner is a nice feature too.

$350 - Vintage Pepsi Sign

Seems like a lot of money - but it's fun to look at.

Ghanaian Barbershop Sign

I don't even know where to begin. This vintage 1980s/1990s sign has A LOT of rediculously relevant stuff going on. History, vibrant colors, Kid n' Play hairstyles (you can have your pick of the 'Concord,' the 'Gentle Cut,' or the 'Boeing 707') - need I go on?! I think I'd be even more intrigued as to how this sign made it from Ghana to Baltimore...do you check it? Carry on? I must know more.

Vintage Industrial Drafting Stools/PoP Phenomenal Finds

These are definitely the same ones we had in highschool and in my college Design department (War Eagle!)...I'm sure they look pretty familiar to a lot of you. But I love the yellow and the price is pretty friggin great. I think the ad is saying $35 each or $225 for eight. Again, large numbers of matching stools on CL are hard to come by, much less ones with this much character.

Which brings me to my next point! Check out my weekly Prince of Petworth Friday post, "Phenomenal Finds" (usually published around lunch-ish), for more industrial inspired CL finds. This is my third week of posting for PoP and it's been tons of fun so far - thanks PoPville!

$35 - 1950s Step Stool

I have a stool almost identical to this one (mine's blue), and I love it. It's every bit as functional as it seems, and because it looks so damn good, you never have to feel like you have to store it away between uses. By the way...that gorgeous color looks to be pretty close to the 2012 Pantone Color of the Year: Tangerine Tango. Legit.

This similar, baby blue one is pretty sweet too.

$60 - Wire Chair

I've said it once and I'll say it again - there is nothing wrong with knock-offs. This chair may not be Bertoia, but it would still get the job done...and for a lot cheaper at that (unless I'm missing something, I'd try to talk the price down just a bit).

http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/fuo/2850354997.html

$850 - Mid Century Platform Bed

JEBUZ I love this. If it was a king size, Greg and I would have bought it and you people would never even have known it existed...true story.

This is seriously amazing. Love the floating, attached nightstands. I'd love to ad an eclectic little stool underneath my side to put magazines on. And under-the-bed storage?!

GAH...please buy it STAT so that I can live vicariously through you.

$50 - Atomic Coffee Table

The ad hints that this table may not be the sturdiest of the sturdy...still, it'd be a fun addition to any atomic/modern look.

39in diameter
16in height

$75 - Set of 3 Retro Barstools

Barstools on Craigslist are tough - it seems like they always come in odd/inconvenient numbers. Hopefully three is perfect for someone, somewhere and these are a great price for a truly retro look. The ad says they are in 'excellent' condition.

CANNONDALE R1000 ULTEGRA 58cm - $750

Someone buy this before I do. Cannondale R1000 with almost full Ultegra gruppo for $750! New this beauty retails for more than twice that...

18.5 inch Bridgestone Mountain bike - $120

This is a good deal for what looks to be a solid built bike, and IMO the best for DC city riding. I also love the color black. Happy V-day, Kendra!

Still Listed - $125 Mid Century Chair Base

This chair/table base has been relisted...even though the seller didn't drop the price, I really wish someone would buy it. I am itching to know what the lucky buyer actually makes out of it...

Read my original post here for some of my ideas...

$100 - Modern Glass & Metal Desk/Table

Great price! The seller has been using this cool table as a desk, but he or she thinks that it was originally meant to be used as a dining table. I'm usually not a huge fan of glass tops, but the metal legs have a really great look and would probably pair perfectly with those Eames molded chairs I posted yesterday.

The office chair, which is pretty 'bleh' is included in the price.

Desk/table measurements: length: 79 inches, width 35 inches deep, height 27.5 inches

$125 - Mid Century Credenza

I don't think this piece has any kind of 'designer' name attached to it...but who cares - the lines are lovely and it looks super functional. The ad doesn't provide dimensions and the condition isn't super clear from the picture...at $125, it's worth a look for sure.

$200 - Eames Molded Plastic Chairs/Table

The seller says these are Eames molded chairs purchased from Room and Board several years ago. If that is indeed true then this is a sweet deal - the chairs alone are $250 new from Room & Board...

http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/fuo/2850157515.html

$45 - Vintage General Electric Wall Clock

Love it. GE! The ad describes it with the following inticing words:

The clock keeps time beautifully and works well in spite of the bent time setting button pictured below. If you are inclined to disassemble things, the inside of the glass and the face would benefit from a good cleaning. The descriptions I find about this clock describe it as a school-type clock with a bakelite case from the late 50s/early 60s. Model number is 2912.

I love this one from Modern 50 (along with everything else from Modern 50).

Still Listed - Industrial Desktop Toolbox

I posted about this guy awhile back and he's still on the market - this time with a price drop of a few bucks. $24!

Read the old post here.

$300 (obo) - Deco Dental Cabinet

I can think of a million ways someone could use this cabinet! It looks like it could be in fairly rough shape, and I have no idea what the refinishing opportunities are...but the rewards may be worth it. Love the deco lines and multiple drawer depths.

This one on eBay is way cool.
So is this one on AntiqueHelper.

Pair Gunlocke Chairs

Gunlocke chairs are everywhere on CL lately...here's another pair in black, same as these that I posted on a while back. The ad doesn't give a price. These would look great just about anywhere...
