Original metal entrance sign to Massanutten Caverns! This is a great piece of Shenandoah Valley history, especially if you're a Virginia native!At 9' 8" long and 3' 6" high, this sucker is BIG. The Massanutten Caverns in Keezletown, VA were discovered in 1892. A lodge was built and the caverns became very popular with Valley visitors in the early 20th century, but the caverns were closed to public access in the 1980's. I think I want to go there and stay at The Old Massanutten Lodge...looks pretty old school...
Keezletown?? did you say KEEZLETOWN??? can I live there?
